Top Apps on Demand in 2021

The number of installs made by users of the food delivery apps is growing. In 2020, the pandemic hit the world economy. However, food delivery services rose on the market. The number of these apps’ installs in 2020 was 19 percent higher. In 2021, the tendency continues. Although the pandemic seems to be at ease, users continue to download food delivery apps. The total amount of them rose by 20 percent in 2021. The information was shared by Adjust analytic company.

The new data was gathered on 6 billion paid downloads during the year. Gaming took 50 percent of the paid installs, and APAC spending was 64 percent of this number. The next followed was North America with 57 percent and EMEA with 39 percent. APAC’s demand for paid apps was seen in the mobile games industry. Turkey, on the other hand, focused on fitness and health apps. The food delivery among these regions grew by 34 percent. In 2020 it was 71 percent.

Social media apps are currently on-demand as well. Facebook, Google Ads, and Apple Search Ads lead the charts. TikTok and Snapchat also grew in popularity. They are followed by Headway, AppLovin, and Digital Turbine. Users prefer to check out Google Ads short videos.

Southeast Asia regions revealed growth in mCommerce. The install of the app grew 18 percent during the first half of 2021. Mobile app spending equals 75 percent of the total amount of the digital market. In 2020, the app industry noted 218 billion downloads. Consumers spent $143 billion globally the previous year. In total, we worked/played/communicated for 3.5 trillion minutes inside our favorite apps on Android only. According to the official stats, Americans spend most of their time watching mobile TV.
