Premium Subscription Available for WhatsApp Beta Users

It became known that a premium subscription service is now available for users of the beta version of WhatsApp. Although it has not officially launched, we learn about some of its features and benefits. The paid subscription is aimed at businesses, so it is unlikely to be beneficial to ordinary users of this instant messaging and calling service.

According to a recent WABetaInfo report, businesses will be able to change their subscription every 3 months. A premium account gives you access to the menu, which contains additional useful features. One of them is a Telegram-like direct contact link that users can share with their relatives, clients, or colleagues. It is a business-friendly solution, as it is easier for clients to find a company without entering a phone number.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also said that the paid subscription offers a group call for premium accounts, which can connect up to 32 users at the same time. The company claims that more details about group calls will be released soon. By subscribing, businesses can connect up to 10 devices to a single WhatsApp account. He confirmed the launch of the Call Links feature, which generates a user link. By simply clicking on it, the person joins the call. It works similarly to platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.

All the features are available only in the beta version, and we only know a few details. The exact list of additional paid features for business, the cost of the premium subscription, and the launch date are unknown. The official statement of WhatsApp has not yet been announced.
