Fallout 4 Based Board Game Coming

The well-known creator of the board and miniature games, Modiphius Entertainment, has announced the production of a new strategy game based on Fallout 4. Details are still scarce, but it is known that the new part of the franchise is called Fallout Factions: Nuka World.

According to the creator company, representatives of different factions will have to clash on the battlefield to seize full control of Nuka World in this game. Recall that Nuka World is an add-on for Fallout 4, released in 2015, a fascinating amusement park with several thematic zones and dangerous factions. In the board game, the same three groups will clash, one of which should eventually turn out to be rogues. Although the project is still in development, the creators have already promised to expand the possibilities by adding new factions that were not in the DLC for the computer game.

This project will be based on a 2d20 system that makes the story more unpredictable and fun by adding a random factor in the form of two dice. The fresh board game will be built by permanent designer James Hewitt, who also previously worked on Adeptus and Hellboy. Modiphius Entertainment has already released the Wasteland Warfare project based on the Fallout computer game. It is reported that the new part will have different rules, but if you wish, you will be able to combine these two board games.

The Fallout 5 release is looming far on the horizon, and a launch date hasn't even been announced yet. So the release of such board games is a great option for franchise fans to extend the pleasure of gaming a little. Although the Fallout Factions: Nuka World creators have not yet announced the exact production date for their board game, it will be faster than releasing a new part of the video game.

How do you feel about such side projects of popular franchises? If you've played Wasteland Warfare, please share your thoughts on it.
