Twitter Tests New Advanced Features

Users can benefit from the options to hide likes and auto-archiving of tweets among the features that are being tested by Twitter. The new services planned to be rolled out by Twitter provide more control and extra protection to the audience. Users become in charge of every in-app interaction, while Twitter doubles its forces to protect your personal content.

Twitter works hard to provide a safe space for everyone. The team intends to add more tools that allow you to feel free to express your thoughts without being judged unless you have incredibly dangerous views. In this case, you will be banned.

The most awaited changes on Twitter are as follows:

  • The old tweets are being archived. To do this, you have to enable the specific option. After some time, the old tweets will be sent to the archive cleaning your personal space, and will be no longer visible to others. You will be able to set the timer. It can be either 30, 60, or 90 days. Besides, you can choose to hide your tweets after a year;
  • Remove accounts you don’t like as followers. The best part is that they will not even notice it. However, if these users contact you, you can always blame Twitter. Since you don’t block them, the chances are high that unwanted followers will not notice anything;
  • Leave the conversation. You can untag yourself from the conversation you don’t want to take part in. After that, other users won’t be able to bring you back to discussion;
  • Hide the tweets you have previously liked. While some users are proud to reveal the tweets they’ve liked, others prefer to keep everything quiet. Now you don’t have to reveal the tweets you’ve liked to the whole world. The new feature allows millions of users to feel free to use the service.

The main goal of these changes is to make Twitter more user-friendly. The tweets you wrote before will never hunt you back. If everything goes smoothly during the trial period, you will receive a set of helpful tools from Twitter.
