Steam Charts Dominated by Call of Duty and New Titles

On Week 46, 2022, Steam charts didn’t come as a surprise. The undisputable champion of the week, logically, is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Yet among the titles one might expect to shine there, it features some new games, even though they can only be new for players on PC.

The most recent Call of Duty installment occupies not one but three places out of the top ten. The bestselling game of the week is the basic edition of the game, reaching #2. On the fourth position, there is Upgrade to Vault Edition, followed by Vault Edition. No wonder this game is selling well in all the available versions.

The only game between these versions of CoD: MW II is Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, an action game set in the iconic universe. The impressive numbers come from the active presale; the game itself will only be released on November 30. Then, if the reviews are favorable, we may expect more players joining in and purchasing the game. The same game in Imperial Edition can be seen at #9.

As for new titles of the week, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales starts from the seventh place. Being already familiar to those on PlayStation, this game reaches its PC fans with a triumphal bang. Nobody – The Turnaround closely follows it, and American Truck Simulator: Texas is the last of the Top 10. The sixth place is taken by Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, now available as the GOTY Edition.

The leader of the week, though, is not a game at all. It’s Steam Deck which reclaimed the leadership, finishing the previous week at number 2. The portable console by Steam is constantly upgraded and updated, getting more games and apps, so no wonder it sells extremely well as the holidays are coming.

Have you bought any of these games that week? If not, did you buy any, and what would you recommend both from this list and beyond it? We’d like you to drop some names down here in the comment section!
