Spring 2024: The Anticipated Start for Minecraft Movie Filming

The idea of a Minecraft movie has been in the works for quite some time, and it seems as if it may soon be becoming a reality. The writers' strike has concluded, prompting many studios to prepare for a return to production. 

As reported by Variety, the script for the Minecraft movie is ready and could potentially begin filming as early as next spring, contingent on the resolution of the actors' strike. The members of SAG-AFTRA are currently on strike, seeking improved compensation and job security, among other demands.

Should the actors' strike resolve soon, the Minecraft movie and other projects may be able to resume their intended schedules. While details about the plot of the Minecraft movie are sparse, Pedro Pascal is expected to play the role of Steve, alongside Matt Berry and Jason Momoa in significant roles.
