Planet Coaster 2 Announced, Launches Fall 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

Frontier Developments has excitedly unveiled Planet Coaster 2, the successor to their critically acclaimed 2017 management simulation game, set to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC this coming Fall. A freshly released trailer even provides a sneak peek of pre-alpha engine gameplay.

The exhilarating world of Planet Coaster 2 offers players an engaging twist with the introduction of watery fun such as water slides, exhilarating rides, and swimming pools on the list of attractions they can create. In addition to five fresh themes and scenic vistas to select from, players can also incorporate animated figures to personalize their parks further. The elaborate building system that allows for the construction of large-scale roller coasters and terrain alteration stays intact. Just like its predecessor, players can exchange blueprints and parks via the Frontier Workshop.

Streamlined management tools are introduced in the updated version, and an asynchronous multiplayer feature allows co-creation of parks with friends in a shared Sandbox mode file. For those who prefer admiring the scenery, there's a new first-person view to enjoy the exploration of parks.
