KAWS Skeleton Skin Pack for the 2021 Fortnightmares Event

The long-awaited spooky-themed skin collection in Fortnite, a collaboration between Epic Games and famed American street artist Brian Donnelly, known as KAWS, has finally made its debut in the game's item store. This fresh KAWS Skeleton Outfit showcases four unique "Companion" skin variants colored in green, pink, white, and orange. Priced at approximately $9.6, the skin pack is presented as a temporary special offer and is expected to be up for grabs only until the conclusion of the Halloween festivities. Players who opt for this purchase should be aware that it includes only the skins themselves, without any additional cosmetic items such as tools, weapon skins, or emotes.

Fortnite is not new to the practice of joining its creative forces with pop culture icons and prominent artistic figures. Recently, it partnered with Balenciaga to design a collection of in-game outfits for Fortnite’s most popular and beloved characters – Doggo, Knight, Banshee, and Ramirez. Before that, the game also engaged the famous rap performer Travis Scott, who hosted Epic’s Astronomical live event in April 2020. However, KAWS is the first highly celebrated street artist to work on a crossover of this scale. It is yet another confirmation that the global video gaming industry cannot thrive without embracing the best of what music, art, and fashion can give.

The four new “Companion” skins will not be the only spooky outfits during the Epic's Fortnitemares Halloween event. Other playable holiday-spirited skins include the Walking Dead’s central characters – Rick Grimes, Darryl, and Michonne – as well as Frankenstein’s Monster and The Mummy.
